I've had a couple of stabs at having blogging, but there are too many folks too far across the country with whom I want to keep in contact ("sharing," we called that in kindergarten) that I thought one more, less professional, more personal thangy was worth it.
Probably no one will read this except people who know me, so I'll give a brief rundown of what's happening today,
Julie and I are engaged and living in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We're getting married in June.
Jason Torchinsky is visiting us, leaving today. He was in town for a short-notice business meeting.
We just saw Jason, and Sally, and Jeremy and Marian, and Charles and Kelly and Tom and John, and Al, and Galen and Louanne, and Rob and Michelle and their 97 kids, at T. Mike and Selena's wedding this past weekend. The last of the pulled pork barbecue has almost passed from my system (I had barbecue three days in a row).
My cousin Katie is in San Diego, but safe now from the fires. Thoughts, prayers and ziploc bags of water are appreciated.
We're going to Iowa for Thanksgiving, where I'll see Zach Mannheimer, if all goes according to plan. Of course I haven't actually gotten to talk to him yet, but it's early today.
That's the basic. More later. Think of Katie.
